23 Jan 2006 - A Star is Born! Today marked another busy day for Ashley as she entertained a number guests with photography sessions. Truly, this princess is loved and adored by all as she is ever ready to pose for the camera and charm her subjects by flashing her royal dimples!

24 Jan 2006 (12 noon) - Finally, after spending 4 days at Mount Alvernia, it was time to check-out and take baby Ashley home. We had a really good stay at this hospital where all the nurses were very friendly and the food pretty good. Perhaps, the only minus point was that they didn’t have good beds for dad’s to sleep in (the first two nights were actually spent curled up in a chair)! Heh heh…

Saying bye-bye with the nurse who regularly bathes Ashley. Zhiyi is in a wheelchair coz she nearly fainted due to the flurry of activity while checking-out.
The next few days will be pretty interesting as Zhiyi and I get used to taking care of the baby. Previously, all we had to worry about was feeding her as the washing up and changing of diapers were done by the nurses. If you see both of us with panda eyes looking absolutely exhausted and a little high-strung, do forgive us as we have to wake up every 2 hours to feed Ashley. Not to mention, Zhiyi is still feeling pretty weak and can’t stand for more than 1 minute!

She’s sooooo cute!! My colleague saw Ashley’s pics and said she looks like a doll! I can’t wait to play with her again… I hope Tzeyee is feeling better and recovering well. I’m sure both of you will do well & fine as parents. =) Ganbatte!

Pris: Speaking of dolls, when we went for ante-natal classes, we were made to practice carrying and bathing baby dolls but nothing beats the experience of holding a real one since they cry, kick and squirm in your arms! Hehe…

Fab pics! Agree she has that “you xing ge” (has character) look when frowning heheh. Have fun getting used to late night feeding and nappy changing, but am sure you and TY will do a mighty fine job. Keep the pics coming!

Peishan: Wooo… thanks for teaching me a new word! It’s like she can look pretty even when angry. I wonder what the english word for that is. Haha… As for the nappy changing, I’m still getting used to the idea that she can do her business immediately after I change her nappies, until it started reminding me of how I must flush a dirty toilet first before using it.

Pris: Hahaha… can you teach her only to bully Gab and not us? She is giving us nightmares with her erratic feeding and crapping schedule (actually, there IS no schedule!).
Amleth: Right now, siong as (insert random animal noun here). It’s almost impossible to get any long and continuous sleep. But, to be honest, it’s nothing compared to what a mum has to go through! My only value-add is to change diapers. Hehe…
