I’m a Sanguine-Choleric
4 Nov
No, I’m not suffering from a permanent bout of cholera or anything. Sanguine-choleric happens to be the major and minor temperament group that I belong to thanks to this personality test I took (link taken from Hendrik’s blog).

For those not familiar with the four temperaments or have not read Tim LaHaye’s book called “Why You Act the Way You Do”, allow me to give a quick definition of the 4 temperaments:
- Sanguines – Cheerful, enthusiastic and outgoing but tend to be disorganized, forgetful and superficial.
- Cholerics – Leaders, decisive, task oriented and competive. They can be bossy, insensitive and unflexible.
- Phlegmetics – Contented, patient and consistent but can sometimes lead to laziness, indecisiveness and indifference.
- Melancholics – Creative, analytical and sensitive people. They can also be moody, hard to please and introverted.
So, as you can see, each temperament has plus and minus points so it doesn’t mean one temperament is better than the other. But, if we know which temperament we are, we can try to control the weaknesses inherent in our behaviour and try to be better, and more Christ-like people!
