Pre-Easter Care Group

1 more week to go till Good Friday and Easter, so our dear and wise bro Wee Leong decided to give us all a refresher course on people, places and events following the resurrection of Jesus.
IslandHopies turned up in full force (with the exception of Tiger and Andrew who had choir duty) including Reina’s cousin, Edna, and friend, Grace. This was also Changky’s first time chairing and I must say he did a good job, getting everyone to break the ice with his hilarious animal sound & action game (yes, like Pris said, it’s called Charades). 
Okie dokes, a brief recap of the lesson: Resurrection Appearences
- To Mary Magdalene at the tomb (Sunday morning) Matt 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:1-12, John 20:1-9
- To the two travelers headed towards Emmaus (Sunday around midday) Mark 16:9-11, John 20:11-18
- To Peter in Jerusalem (Sunday sometime in the day) Luke 24:34, 1 Cor 15:5
- To the 10 disciples (excluding Thomas) in the upper room (Sunday evening) Luke 24:36-43, John 20:19-25

Jesus than returned to heaven 40 days after the resurrection at the event known as the Ascension on the Mount of Olives (Luke 24:44-51).
