Surfin’ on the Big Screen

After one and a half years since moving into our new place, we finally decided to get a TV.
What, you guys survived for so long without a TV???
Yup, that’s true! We never saw the need for a TV as we we were always so busy. The thought of being glued to a google box seemed like a distant fantasy, a luxury we weren’t interested in investing in. Furthermore, we didn’t think that the timing was right either as prices for flat panel TVs were comparable to daylight robbery.
One baby later, how things have changed! Imagine the mind numbing boredom of staying at home everyday, carrying and breast-feeding baby every hour or so. Imagine my surprise when the CFO of the house, wifey, walked up to me one day with a huge newspaper ad for TVs and asked me for recommendations.
Woohooooooooooooo!
Here is a pic of our new acquisition, a decent 37-inch Hitachi LCD TV purchased from a small electrical shop in the west after haggling off a cool $500+ from the RRP. And, being the geek I am, what better “hack” than to turn our new TV into a glorified web browsing machine! Hehe…
Ahhh… nothing like slouching back into the couch and typing away. Now, all I need is an ottoman, i.e. cushioned footstool.

Geek paradise!!!

muahuahuahuah…….. i want i want
You got to have the baby first. Hahahaha
hahaha……. wait long long lah like that :p
oh yes, i’ve just tried Vista Media Center, and I guess it should be the OS that you should install on your machine there when it’s released
It’s so simple to setup, a no-brainer for you
There’s a Vista Media Center? Woah!!!
I was reading on the web and apparently the current Windows XP Media Center is actually a full blown Windows XP Pro with HTPC features, but without the price tag of the Pro version. Maybe this one will be a bargain too!
Woooooooooo… TVvvvvvv… Niceeeeeeeeeee!
Ok, we’re SO self-inviting ourselves over to ur place to be couch potatos! Hehehe..
Pris: Bring on the chips and dips!!!
Onz!
Swivel, left, swivel right. the 1st AG3NG9B2 member to play with the TV. (“V” sign showing with my left hand)
Hehe… swivel is the ultimate couch potato feature.
